South Carolina Education Television and The State newspaper will be hosting the 2006 Statewide Candidate Debates. The debates started on September 18 and will run through October 30. SCETV will be archiving the debates on their website for viewing. All SCETV channels and radio stations will be broadcasting the debates. Also, SCETV will be streaming the debates LIVE on their website.

September 18 – 7 p.m. First Congressional District – 30-minute Q & A with candidate Randy Maatta. View video (26:54).
October 2 – 7 p.m. Commissioner of Agriculture View video (26:59).
October 2 – 7:30 p.m. Adjutant General View video (26:46).
October 8 – 1 p.m. Third Party Candidates (taped in advance on Wednesday, Sept. 27 from 6:45-7:45 p.m.)
October 9 – 7 p.m. Secretary of State
October 9 – 7:30 p.m. Comptroller General
October 12 – 7 p.m. Fourth Congressional District (ETV Upstate, Spartanburg)
October 12 – 8 p.m. Third Congressional District (ETV Upstate, Spartanburg)
October 16 – 7 p.m. Treasurer
October 19 – 7 p.m. Fifth Congressional District (ETV Carolinas, Rock Hill)
October 23 – 7 p.m. Superintendent of Education
October 26 – 7 p.m. Sixth Congressional District (ETV’s South Carolina Channel, Sumter)
October 26 – 8 p.m. Second Congressional District (ETV’s South Carolina Channel, Sumter)
October 29 – 7 p.m. Lieutenant Governor
October 30 – 7 p.m. Governor
